Wheel Offsets
Don't suppose anyone knows if the R231 has the same wheel offsets as the R230. Aside from calling the dealer (and I'd be surprised if they knew) I have not been able to find this information and I have searched extensively. I'd also be interested in what the R230 factory offset are.
Considering aftermarket rims and a couple of the manufacturers are not 100% themselves. Hoping to get a few mm's additional offset from stock if possible as well.
With the traffic this sub forum gets I feel like I'm talking to myself but here's hoping.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT:
I haven't been able to take the rims off yet as that is the best way to get the offsets... should be stamped on the rims. Not sure they still do it that way but they used to. however, after doing a great deal of searchng I did find a place through AMG that does show the offsets. IF I'm reading it correctly (German translation) the offset on the front rims is 27 and 48 for the rear. Anything but common or standard.

the info below is from the 2013 manual. Wheel sizes and offsets are listed. I guess for the R230 you could google the 2012 or older manual and check out what it says.

I plan on taking a pic of my car tomorrow with its 20”wheels. I’ll let you know the offsets and tire sizes that work. Believe me it took a lot of research to
get this figured out and done correctly. End result was great though!

BC recommended the following Offset:
20x9 et25
20x11 et40 Concave profile
Now I’m searching for tires, not a lot of choices in the recommended sizes
Front Tire Sizes: 255/30/20
Rear Tire Sizes: 295/25/20
I am wondering if it would be better to go with a 305/25/20 in the rear? Hopefully the wheels Will be here in about 3 weeks and will share pics
Thank you
Bruce

lip to keep from scraping the sidewall of the tire. I had to do that with mine. This is what makes it so hard... especially when changing the offset. Not going to
know until you have them on. Be ready for a slightly harsher ride with the lower (tire) profiles.

On my '07 SL55 I had 11" rears and ran the 305's. Depending on how the offset changes the positioning it's possible you would have to roll the inner fender

Rims: Vossen/WORK- VWS3, F- 20x9, R- 20x10.5
Offsets: F- +27 mm, R- +35 mm
Tires: Continental Extreme Contact Sport F- 245/35/20, R- 295/30/20
These tires are so much better than the stock Continentals it is hard to believe they come from the same company. I like them so much I will be putting them on my LFA.

On my SL55, I had 10.5, with 35et and 305/25/20. I had 25et but did get some scuff on the edge so I reduced to 35et
