So has anyone here taken delivery of their SL65 BS yet. What are your first impressions of the car. How does it compare to the CLK 63 BS. I went to Flecher Jones in OC and they had one in the showroom. The car looks amazing. The only thing i didnt really like is the seats and the stearing wheel. I personaly like the seats and the stearing wheel of the CLK 63 BS. That is just mine opinion.

Haven't had the chance to get in one, but I saw the same SL65 BS at Detroit and Chicago Auto Shows.

Beverly Hills Benz is asking close to 100k over msrp.
I doubt they will get MSRP. Unless some idiot just goes in and buy it like a dumb ***.
Sure the number of cars avaliable will keep going up, soon they be selling SL BS for under msrp close to invoice or under invoice. Give it 2-3 months.

Hhehhehe your right probably it die out. Its gorgeous though, itsa beautiful car just sadly sadly sadly price tag is abit out there.
Doesnt justify it. If it's around lower to mid 200k range and there wasnt no SL65 regular around I think it would do better.

I am waiting to pick one up in a year or so at half the current MSRP. It's one hell of a machine, but nowhere worth the price, especially with the regular SL65 that is equally as fast (in most conditions) and the still-working top. And why in the world did this Black Series not get the upcoming 7-speed double-clutch???!!! That may have gone a long way towards justifying some of the price excess.

It cannot take the torque produced by the V12TT. It would have made the car far more desirable. By the way, the MCT transmission you are referring to is a single wet clutch.Originally Posted by Ferri

I'm looking to pick one up, in gray or white if possible, later this year, maybe around September or October, but it all depends on how much discount I can get from the dealer. I would pick one up if they are willing to give me a 15% discount.

I think he was talking about the double clutch they are talking about in the SLS.Originally Posted by Carl Lassiter

This is the problem with technology, if they waited until 2025 to release the SL Black, then we could have had the nuclear afterburner option.
At least it has throttle blipping
