SLK/R170: MAF Cleaning

MAF Cleaning
I just bought my 2001 SLK230 and was curious if I should get my MAF cleaned. I am not very car savy and would probably just take it into a shop to get it cleaned. What is the average price they charge to do this service??
Just curious to what type of maintence I need to expect for a SLK with 94K miles on it. The car has 18ich rims which makes the ride a lot bumpier than normal. This is normal I hope. I do hear little squeaks here and there but I think that comes from all SLK's.
Anyone know what sites are good in purchasing Lorinser or Mercedes parts.

Hmmm...
...I can't help you with what it might cost to get done. It really doesn't take much to do yourself. As a matter a fact, it's really quite easy if you're at all willing to at least try. I can tell you this though. It will cost you waaay more than if you did it yourself. AND...you'll feel alot better about getting it done.

99 SLK 230 - US Model
The MAF sensor for my 99 SLK 230 cost me $300. Replacement time, including clean up was appx 10 minutes.
My suggestion is to clean your sensor until the light comes on again. Clean it again, then order a sensor. When the light comes on again, replace the sensor.
