Santa delivers my SLK32!!!
Took delivery last night under clear skies and the car is simply awesome. Promise to exercise maximum restraint during break-in period. The car is tight and rattle-free. Hope it will remain so for a long time.
The ride was surprisingly comfortable when I recollect and compare how my former 996 C2 with 030 suspension + 18' wheels rode. Road/tire noise was minimal compared to my C320 with 17' Michelin Pilots Sports.
This morning I found out the tires on the car were Pirelli P-Zero Russo which could have contributed to the quieter ride. Any experience/comments on these tires? I could have these tires changed if I really wanted to; in fact the dealer has agreed to swap the rears for 255/40 ZR x 17s at dealer's cost differential between the 245s and 255s (something about $40 for both + mounting). Do I stay with the Pirellis or switch?
Specs on the car as follows:
Brilliant Silver
2-Tone Charcoal/Ash Interior
Xenon Headlamps
CD Changer
Merry Christmas and a Peaceful New Year to one and all!

Thanks, Kenny!
Lets hope for a short Canadian winter and a glorious spring!
Just can't wait to drop that roof.
Drive safely and hope to meet you in the New Year!

Kenny, make sure to let me know when you definitely heading out here in spring!
Be great to meet you and perhaps we can arrange a get together with the local SLK owners.
As for now, I suggest we meet at the east end of Landsdowne Mall in Richmond. Lots of parking space and elbow room. Also plenty of restaurants at the Mall or vicinity.

Thanks David. I intend to observe proper break-in procedures before...
going FWO! Maybe you should consider moving over to the West where the weather is more cooperative and winter shorter (hopefully).

Congrats!
Congratulations and have fun driving! I've had mine for over 4 months now. With 2,600 on the odometer, it's broken in, and drives even faster. You'll have a blast!

Congrats on the AMG Benggolf..just a quick question seeing as you are from Vancouver. Which service dealer in the Vancouver area is the most competent? Broadway, Richmond or North Van? And have you ever dealt with the Brabus dealer in Richmond (think its called deustch tech motors)...MB meet in Richmond sounds cool, make sure to bring the converted C320 too!

No, I have not dealt with the Brabus dealer in Richmond, but have had work done by AMG Perfomance Group in Vancouver.
How can I drive both cars to the meet, 240x? We should get the group together sometime and plan out a drive somewhere.
