What is the average SLK owner's age and sex?
Hello SLK owners. I read once that the targeted group that the SLK was made for was adult males 35-45 years of age. I wonder if they have landed in their targeted range. If you don't mind telling us, please tell us your age and sex. Oh, and to make things more intersting, please tell us how satisfied you are with your SLK--I'm sure everyone is. You can freely add any other comments as well. I can't wait to see the results.

40 male. Its a great car except for the rattles (seem to be coming from everwhere) and the peeling consoles.
Another SLK? Wait and see how the R171 turns out. Otherwise, will consider a Porsche 911 or Boxter.

what kinda probs do u guys face with the slk? (aside from rattles i mean)
i have a 98 c230 which is the same engine in slk230 but its not supercharged. so far i havent had any probs with it other then a check engine light which turned out to be a faulty air mass meter.
i bought my first benz (98 c230) a year ago when i was 20
ill be 22 this october
i have been considering selling my sedan for an 00 slk230 (it has the same fuel economy that im getting right now in my c230 23/30 epa. is this a good car as an everydayer?

I've had my SLK since 2000. Most of the rattles come from the flap that closes over the roof when you put the top down. It's located behind the roll-over bars. The rattles are minimal. It is way better than a canvas roof.

I'm 18/male (probably the youngest driver on this forum) and i've had my 2001 slk 230 since August of last year. I had a problem with the trunk not aligning properly with the top operation a while back but it was finally fixed after many adjustments. Not really a problem but the slk 230 is a little underpowered so I put in an ASP crank pulley and that resolved the power issue.

I don't know. I'm surprised too. There's nothing wrong in getting one no matter what age you are. The only thing that I know is that it's a fun car to drive (especially if it's manual.) Hehe. Keep posting.

Actually , i do think the slk230 is a bit underpower , i could only do the 0-60 in 7.3 on my 5spd manual slk230 , maybe i m not that good with manual
