SLK/R170: Top wont operate up or down

Top wont operate up or down
Just finished installing the front latch cylinder on my 99slk. It took me about a week since the monsoon rains had me unable to work on it. But now its in and all lines hooked up . But it wont work. No power to the pump. The red light in the switch is on and flashing ,but it wont work. The car was covered because I had the top open so I could fix the cylinder. But ther is some dampness inside the cockpit. I think that due to the tons of rain the dampness is causing an issue. The car starts and runs fine . Its just that when you push the switch to close it or open it the top wont move. Everything works on the car. radio,headlights,turnsignals, AC,heat. Just the pump wont operate. So I may have unplugged someything when I took cylinder out I forgot it. But I ahve been unable to find any loose connection.So if you can guide me to a possible cause I will greatly appreciate it..
