Twin Spark V8

I have a twin spark V8 engine. But the plats on my door seals say V6. Ya think one or the other was changed at some point? My pride and joy is a 2001 SLK 320, I call em Lil' Man!

Can you take a picture of the engine bay for us?

The biggest engine in an R170 is the 3.2L V6 AMG engine. no V8's.

except mine, which I swapped a V8 into - I can tell you that you cant just swap the engines without anyone knowing about it!

Thanks for the answer, I should have known that much. But I'm learning. And my mechanic says it is a V6. So they replaced 12 Units of spark plugs and an Ignition wire set. I still need to learn the difference between twin and dual plugs systems. I feel certain I have the lesser of the two, as its just a stock not specially built for racing. But he can surly get up and go!

Simply put it has 2 spark plugs per cylinder. (Alfa Romeo called theirs "TwinSpark"). I believe it is this way for cleaner burn and better emissions, but If it was remarkable in any way, many other engines would be using the technology, but I believe the results are negligible and most manufactures found that one plug was more than enough.
