What?! 193hp to 223hp from chip upgrade for $300!??!

Yellowslk pointed out this website where they state with their chip upgrade, they can take my car from 193hp to 223hp. Is this for real?!?! Yellowslk says it's about $300?

Site is www.upsolute.com

Go to database on left and then search for slk

EDIT: If I got a pulley kit and then did chip installation, would I see an equivalent gain in HP (30hp?)?? Bring TOTAL somewhere around 240-250?!?! Or is that

Way too many cars on their site that make me skeptical they have chips for all of them.

I have an upsolute on my ccoupe; the gains aren't nearly up to those claims. Though the gains did get much better after the computer re-learned mapping fully.

You'd also probably have to get a custom chip program if you get a pulley; also the $300 is too low of a figure for even a stock program.

the gains are really really less than 30hp.

plus it's not at all rpm, and not at all gears. You could get +8 whp in first, +5 in second, +3 in third, etc.

the pulley gives way more power, all the time (when the supercharger turns)

The main reason people get a chip is to have a really better shifting sequence on the automatic transmission,m it removes almost all the lag mercedes are known to have when you floor it.

They do it buy reprogram the chip you aready have in your car. Its the same as when I have my 300zx tt and had my computer reprogramed by Jim Wolf Tech. I gain about 60Hp on dino for that. Granted the z was a turbo and it up the boost. Jim Wolf charge about $400 US for that.

I know that my supercharger is mechanically driven so I didnt expect to much gain in hp. But the swifting will be better though. But $300 for 10-15 hp gain is a good deal when you look at it at dollar/hp.

I was talking to the guy Lanny. He said after I get my pulley kit put in he can also write up a program to get more gains out of it for about $150 US.

I was looking at other site and other companys and there is usually $200 markup for same thing just because are cars have a benz symbol.

Anyway you look at it. >>ITS A GOOD DEAL<<
