Eurodelivery anybody?
Just found the SLK and put a deposit on it, However now we have been informed about Eurodelivery and think that may be the way to go..Searched the forum here and found the topic was discussed back in 2002, Went to MB website and found that indeed SLK can be Eurodelivered, but you don't get the 7% discount you get for other models that can be delivered in Germany..bummer, However would like to know if anyone else has any experience or views on this. I have not hit up the dealer about Eurodelivery, I'm hoping dealership may discount and still do the thing...Thoughts on the subject?
Nick,
SLK 350 soon, here or over there.

i'm also interested in this. I read that the car ends up being the same MSRP with the trip. Since the car is cheaper when pruchased in germany. I think it was the recent MB Momentum magazine. Gota dig around and see if I can find the artical. Personally looking to get my 3rd slk!

I picked up my SLK on 10/1/04 in Eurodelivery and paid MSRP less the $720 destination charge. However, I got a night in a 4 star hotel, 2 taxi vouchers for hotel and factory pickup and 15 days of 0 deductable insurance to drive around Europe...loved it and would do it again, even without the 7 % discount on less desirable cars. Here are a couple of previous posts about it:

Thanks Motzkoman for the links! I guess I did not search hard enough. Great info there. Hey do you want to share some of the details of your experience and your trip with your new SLK? Man I wish they did the 7% deal on SLKs but at any rate it really seems like the thing to do. What a blast. Well I guess I better get to MB of Naples and negotiate...yessssss I can see it now...tooling through the famed mysterious Black Forest in the new SLK...Hope there is room for one of those big fancy Black Forest Coo-Coo Clocks..You know with the wood choppers, Bier drinkers and bier maidens in their Liederhosen (sp?) all dancing giddily at the turn of the hour...Yesssss I can see it all now...Yes..... one more St. Paulie Girl should get me there...
