18 inch rims without lowering body?

Hi all,
I was thinking of going from the stock rims to 18 inch and wanted to ask if I should lower the car when I do. I dont have the lowered suspension but as it is, I need to go so over dips in the road etc. But if the look would be better than what I have now . . .
Thanks for the input

Lowering your vehicle is preference, I'm currently running stock 17's on brabus springs, it doesn't bother me, I haven't scratch it yet. Your height will be slightly higher with 18's. When I'm riding on my 19" aftermarket wheels, the lowering springs bring it back to factory height. It definately looks alot better lowered. The ride is exactly the same so, if you don't mind the wheel/fender gap then leave it alone.

ynot what happened to your 19's?

Actually after I put my 19's on...the wheel gap wasn't *as* hideous as I imagined. About 1" from top of the tire to the fender for front and rear.

Minor rubbing issue on the rear, DCR said they'll fix it at no cost to me so, I figure I'll get it fix ASAP.

If you get the correct wheel/tyre combination, the overall diameter of wheel and tyre together does not alter ? No need to lower the suspension at all.

Yeah, it's my 19" DCR hockenheims. The front is lowered 1/4" and the rear about an 1", looks much better than stock.

In theory, yes, in reality no, 18" will raise your car a little and 19" will raise it a little less than an inch. By lowering it with Brabus springs, I had it back to factory height.

Thanks, . I miss them already, my car looks totally different with stock wheels. It'll be several weeks until I get them back.
