What on earth has happenned over at benzworld.org?

How many have transferred over here as a result of the changes at benzworld that have reduced readability?

Has everyone kept the same usernames?

I've always been a member of both forums. MB world is now much easier to read. It will now be my primary forum and BenzWorld will be my secondary one.

I'm also a member of both, I've always like this one better but it doesn't have as much traffic, so I tend to go to benzworld more often.

Maybe this forum will get the traffic that it deserves now.
Worth remembering that there is also a seperate SLK55 Forum on this board.

I like both forums. The more SLK information, the better. I would prefer ONE BIG high traffic forum with a lot of participation. I don't like having to post the same item twice.

I think nearly all of us had to request for a new password and then change it to what it was before.

Considering how much unhappyness there is on Benzworld with the new format, I'm surprised that we haven't seen a lot more action over here.

I was pretty shocked by the new format. I've been a member at both forums too. But Benzworld was like comfort food or an old leather jacket. It just felt good to check in and see what was happening with the cars we all like so much. I wasn't a huge contributor, but checked in almost everyday. It all feels so foreign now. It's much harder to read now. I hope I get used to it. Maybe volume will go way up over here. Who knows. I'm bummed.

I've signed up at both forums now. the look and feel is about the same. I wouldn't say this one is better nor worse.

reallife is at mbworld with the rest of the benzworld people

Here I am. The only thing I don't like about mbworld is that there are separate forums for the R171 non-AMG and AMG versions. It would be better to have all R-171 info lumped together in one forum.

As for benzworld. I am unable to read the threads without severe, painful eyestrain. I am 53 and have 20/20 vision but also suffer from age-related prysbiopia and astigmatism. I don't usually need my reading glasses for the computer. The new benzworld format is unreadable for me, with or without my reading glasses. I have switched to mbworld.

Yup, it's true that the new layout is much harder to read... I hope they fix it, it's still a nice play to hang out in.
