Is that what the SLK350 really sells for?

While getting one of my cars serviced I took a walk into the MB showroom and got talking to a guy about the new SLK who was thinking of buying one. I had owned a SLK320 6-speed for three year, had testdrove a SLK350, read a lot, etc., so offered some thoughts as I was asked.

I was very positive on the SLK350, until something happened. ...I noticed the windows sticker of that car. $56K+ ...what the?! Sure it was well equipped, but it's an SLK! non-AMG 6-cyl too. That's about what my C43 AMG was new.

So going back to the title, is that what you good folks reading who have well equipped SLK350s spent for them?

thanx for playing.

Yes, that's about right, you can get a fully loaded used one for $49K or so, if you think new is too much. The SLK is a bit higher up in the MB hierarchy so, it's more expensive, mine would have been $61K fully loaded, but I got it for $55K Euro delivered.

SLK55///AMG The MONSTER on the block
Most SLK 350s on the dealer lots average around $52,000, not fully loaded. The SLK 280s around $49,000 - $50,000. I enjoy cruising the local MB dealers at least one Sunday a month. I went to the MBUSA website and a 2007 SLK 350 with the options I wanted was $58,000, the SLK 55 was $70,000. Next SLK 350 or SLK 55 (SLK 63) will be ordered. With the possible changes with the 2008, I'll wait a year.

Just went to MBUSA and all it shows is MY06 under built your own. Can you provide a link to MY07 pricing?

I know it's too late to order a 2006, I "assumed" pricing was for the 2007 models. At least that will give you an idea. I don't think actual pricing will be finalized until the 2007 models are released.

That sounds like a bargain. In the Chicago area they are being advertised in the $45,000 to $48,000 range.

I doubt anyone can claim they got one for less, unless they received it as a gift. ENJOY!

Exclamation

I have a black on red 05 slk 350 6 speed with all packages except wood trim, sat, and phone package.

The owner paid 62k for it plus 5 - 7k in upgrades.

I handed him 42.5 k

Had 15k miles on it. One year old.

That 42k is pretty good. I got my SLK350 6MT down to $43.5k new. Only heated seats and CD Changer though. This was back in March 2005 when it was still "new" and "unique." 27,000 miles later and $3k in mods...probably worth...$34k now?

2005 SLK350 BLACK (HERS) 2004 C5(MINE)
Bought my wife’s last year for $54,000 out the door, brand new, pretty loaded I guess. They would not negotiate at all on the sticker. Its a 2005 SLK350. Not sure if you consider it loaded or not, it does have the navigation system but does not have the electric seat which I could not believe. They were hard to find when we got this; it was the only one on the lot.She loves the car, I got the vette and we are both happy !

MB SLK 350 with pathetic amg parts
In Australia we pay like almost three times as much as what you folks in north america pay for cars.

I bought my slk350 fully loaded minus air scarf and heated seats for 155,000 thereabouts.

155,000AUD is like 125,000US. That's around over double what you'd pay for my car.

I should be living in north america.

I think the tax on cars and everything else in other countries are ridiculous.

What's stopping you from coming over? There's a lot of english ppl that I work with and they love it here and would never move back to England. I work with a Swedish gal and she doesn't want to move back to Sweden either. This is the best country, if you don't like it, move to a different state, they are all different.

Actually I did two different semesters of study in U-Minnesota-twin cities and one at notre dame in indianna.

I loved it but the problem is, although Sydney is expensive, I love it here too much that even cars can't sway me to live there.

I guess every country and ever city has its pro's and cons.

I just don't like America because of the guns and cultural pluralism that seems so out of control for me there.

Although I still miss jack in the box - curly fries.

This is my view.

Guns isn't a bad thing, there's a lot misconception about it and countries that don't have guns likes to emphasize how bad it really is but you if actually pull the statistics, it'll surprise you. Guns don't kill, ppl do, that's a reason, I would this country, the right to bare arm.

If you don't let it bother you, it isn't that bad, not all Americans are ignorant, just avoid ppl down south and stop watching CNN and you will be fine.

And FOX News(not Shepard Smith evening news). Bill O'reilly and Shaun Hannity. They love the Republicans and defend EVERYTHING they do. Shaun Hannity is so biased, I think he's gay for George Bush. All that I ask of the news is to be OBJECTIVE. By the way, I'm a disgruntled Republican. To make this reply "on topic" I love my SLK!

I feel you need to watch several news source and decide for yourself. I find international news from PBS, BBC, better than any of the major channels, I watch those for local news. CNN is toooo liberal for me. back on topic, I agree, I love my SLK too, seems like the only thing I'm watching/washing these days.

Yes I LOVE FOX NEWS. They are so balanced and always tell TWO SIDES OF THE STORY...

George W. Bush's side. And Dick Cheney's side.

Some Canadian comedian said that i think. What a crack up...

As creator of this thread I feel obligated to say...

Thank you everyone for your input on the prices loaded SLK350s sell for so far.

Otherwise, why does this only happen here on MBWorld.com out of all the Mercedes focused boards I frequent? Let's not let this perpetuate and escalate please, worst case forcing the modz/adminz to close this thread.

Price info plus

Actually that joke about Cheney and Bush on Fox made the OT well worth it. The pricing info was pretty impressive and well contributed to on the thread. Better than the average forum would have provided. I sort of miss the posts though where 16 year old drivers were climbing into their SLK trunk to show us how big it was.
