Out with the old in with the new
Updating from 1997 SLK 230K to 2006 350 7 Speed

BTW what are the codes to unlock the DVD ?

GREAT! How long did you have the 1997 SLK 230? I would like to hear your thoughts regarding the SLK 350 vs the SLK 230. Question, user ID is Silver SLK 99, tag on new 350 is SLK 59, you previously drove a 97 SLK 230? Just curious.

Had the 1997 SLK for about 3 years with the only problem being a dirty MAF hindering performance oh and the Kompressor module....but having a old boss at MB HQ in Australia helps with parts.

I pick up the 350 in 5 days will let you know my thoughts....stacking it up against a R171 SLK 280 I drove the over day I cant wait for the the 350.

I brought the R170 with 60000km on the clock it now has 118000km and just got new oil and front pads just recently, sad to see it go.

Got some other plates to go on too not sure which one to put on

As for the sign on the car came wiht the SLK 99 plates when I brought the car even though it was a 1997, the SLK 350 comes with the plates SLK 59 too. Trading car with the SLK 99 plates. Pity I like them

I recommend the Piecha varioroof mod as well.... for me personally, I thought it was invaluable. pretty easy to fit as well, but if you need any help, let me know.
