Hard Top Convertible

has anybody had any trouble with the hardtop when retracting it or putting it back on??? the motor hasnt run out on anybody?

No, I'm on 40,000 miles, 26 months, and I raise/lower it 10 times a day, 5 days a week. That comes out to over 5,000 full cycles. No problems except for squeaks, just ask the dealer to oil it.

Alright, I haven't gotten my SLK yet but I just wanted to make sure there were no problems with the motor running out or anything.

15 k i have done, and tuoch wood no problems as yet.

wow! 40,000! i thought i was the old timer here with 34000, 24 months. mine is a 2005, slktyperice. i assume yours is 05 also.

51,000 km's over here, 2 and a half years of ownership. I operate my roof daily. No problems so far.

The roof (according to MB) should be good for tens of thousands of operations.

I have just over 40k miles on my 05 slk55. Top works great. I recently got the seal at the top of the windshield lubed and all noise from it is gone. Have a bit of noise coming from the back but nothing the dealer shouldn't be able to oil or adjust.
