All i can said is WAO !!! The 2009 SLK 350 is a big improvement over the initial release. The way the car handle and power deliver is good enough for daily drive.
Even with the 7spd, u can hear the exhaust mumbling when decelerate/change gear which is normally reserve for manual car. The whole card is stiff (17 inchs wheel) but not unconfortable (guess the SLK55 AMG would be even more stiff/harder ride; bigger wheels).
Mercedes has comes a long way in the recent yrs in the sports car arena.
Will test the new boxer S before make the final call
My '09 SLK350 is now parked outside...

... loving it !For the type of driving I do, the 55 was just insane... loved it, but it was just a tad over the top and there are very few places that I could really open it up around here.
Also the new interior IMO is big upgrade on the pre-facelift model. I love clean simple elegant lines, and I much prefer the sleek satin black buttons and new Audio20 entertainment system... it's got that understated merc feel. It just works... only thing that I'm ticked I missed is the 'media interface' option.
The car I bought was a dealer demo model with the sports package and pretty much everything else installed except COMAND and media interface... and in these times... I got close to 17.5% off the cost of a new car, and it only had 700 miles on the clock.
So... now I'm trying to get my dealer to retrofit the media interface kit.

No matter which one you get, you're going to LOVE the SLK.
I would take the cash every single day. Especially for the economic those days, we are all lucky that we still have this advantage of driving nice cars.
