brabus kit pretty expensive?

i talked to the brabus distributer in vancouver and the price he quoted me on a 2005 BRABUS SLK body kit are as follows:

prices are in canadian:
----------------------------------
front $1600

front foglight kit( quad foglights) with brake cooling system(comes with the foglights for some reason and is mandatory) $1000

rear $1600

side skirts $2100+500 for LED illumination when u open the door

so the total unpainted and un installed is almost $7000 canadian not sure if thats including taxes.

thats a lil bit more then what i expected to pay ( i assumed about 5000)

What do you guys think and do you guys know anyone that would sell for cheaper?

Ouch!.....So you're talking about 10k with taxes, paint and installation. And all that's just for styling mods (more if you want to upgrade the engine or exhauts).

I've been through my car modding phase and I can tell you this.....it always seems like a good idea at the time, until you start tallying up the costs and realize you could've gotten a much better stock car for the price. That is why I'm just going to get the SLK55 and leave it at that.

As for getting the body kit cheaper, it's very difficult because 1) the R171 is a brand new model, and 2) it's much harder getting discounts for high end brand names such as Brabus or Carlsson.....unless you know someone on the inside.

well the AMG is 20,000 more then my slk350 so even with a 7,000 dollar mod
im still saving 13,000 and as for the HP it would be sweet having 100 more ponies then my 350 but then again $13,000 diffrence...ill pass for now maybe when im making bigger figures....

and i already have 18" brabus wheels and yah i think AMG is very nice but then again i think ppl who get the 350 and get the AMG package which i think is just about as high priced as the brabus ($9000 option but includes tires and 17" amg rims) will look liek all the other AMGs and 350 with amg packages out there mine will be different.

Also the crazy *** side illumination lights are just too crazy~!!!

It is 17. 18 inch is exclusive to AMG model only.
