i am considering getting the BRABUS front kit and fog lamps paying 9,000 canadian for the full kit is a lil much for now since i rather invest in somthing else for the next 6 monthes maybe later ill get the full kit.
what you think of just getting the front kit4 now look weird?

The new SLK is not a girls car, as for the old car, I have to say yes. I have seen the 350 in person, and it is just a gorgeous car. Can't wait to see one with a AMG kit, and finally, the 55 AMG!

Certainly isn't a girls car IMO. The car looks far more masculine than the previous model and looks great when you see it in the flesh.
I was considering an AMG kit but to be perfectly honest, I think the kit spoils the look of the car somewhat. It's hard to put into words but I think it looks too tacky and does not complement the looks of the car. Just my opinion of course and I'll be perfectly happy with my new 'non girly looking' SLK which I'm picking up in January (minus the AMG kit!!).

the older one was very much a girly car but the new one is much more aggresive. While i was in europe for 2 weeks every new SLK i saw was mostly driven by men and might i say the car looked stunning. I can't wait til it arrive in the states.

What is a "girls" car?
I guess this may be a silly question to some but I don't know what people mean between a girls car and a boys car. If you love the style and performance of a vehicle and like it above all others that you could buy, then why do we have to categorize by gender? Even more so, how can we! What are the parameters we use to do so?

Here is my take on the subject. The reason this matters to me is that I think a car expresses a part of a person's personality. I like more masculine cars so it is a factor when I select a car to drive for the next few years. Is this vain? Well, of course it is. So is buying a 50k car when I could just drive a civic.
Also, when I say a "girls" car, I really am not referring to the driver. I am describing the car as having a more feminine personality. That has nothing to do with whether a man or woman shoudl drive it. I think either sex should drive what ever car they want and can make any statement they want to make with their car be it masculine or feminine or in the middle.
