Need Help! Just ordered SLK 350
I just ordered the SLK 350. I'm thinking if I need the AMG package and the tobacco brown nappa leather. I also like the dusty red standard leather. Please help me to decide. Does anyone know if the nappa leather is more durable than the standard leather? Thanks for the help.

2005 MB SLK 55 AMG
The AMG package - well, that's a personal choice. I always thought, get the real thing (AMG) or get the car (350) as it's meant to be - but that is of course a completely subjective opinion. THe AMG package DOES cost over $4000 plus tax. Other than the styling (but not ALL of the SLK55 AMG styling!) you get the stiffer suspension - but it's not an upgrade to an AMG by any means. If you like the styling, why not ?
As for the leather - There is no Nappa Leather for the SLK350 as far as I knwo ? The 350 can be had with Black (871) Blue (872), Beige (875), Red (877) and Ash (878) interior - none of which are Nappa. The Nappa / Duotone Seats you are thinking off are only availalbe on the SLK55 AMG.
I don't think they are more durable; I don't think that's a concern with either. THe Napa looks a bit better (it's only on the sides of the seat !); it has a softer, rougher look and feel to it.
Best,
Dan

Dosers,
Thanks for the input. I can order the Nappa leather with SLK350 here in Hong Kong (working in Hong Kong now). The SLK55 is $25,000 more expensive than a loaded SLK350. That's why I ordered that 350 not 55.

In the US we only get the brown nappa on the Launch Edition model. The regular 350 and the AMG model does not offer it - so it will be a rare option here in the US.
The nappa does look and feel better and looks richer. I have had nappa in seveal AMGs and have not noticed it being any less durable.

How much does it cost for NEW SLK 350 in Hong Kong? It's not avaible yet here in Taiwan. It cost almost 80K US$ for the SLK 200k here. Don't know if it is a good buy or not! Does HK offer 200k, and how much does it cost?
Also does any one know that if an tour golf bag will fit in the trunk of new slk?
Any informations will be very helpful.

tobacco brown - chocolate brown more like!!
going back to the original question.... i'd say avoid the tobacco nappa leather - i saw it on a press car, and frankly its more chocolate than tobacco!!! - i've just taken delivery of a dusky red leather with cubanite silver 350 and i think it looks just perfect (but then i would, wouldn't i!!)
