debadging an SLK32??
Just curious why this would be done? I can see debadging a 230 possibly but why an SLK32AMG? I ask because it's been done to the one I'm considering buying. Does it devalue the car from a resale point of view?

Good just to be left alone ...
My CLK55 has been sans badges since its first week and I have a SLK55 on order that will be sans badges even quicker.
I do not race or abuse the car, I just do not want every clapped out Camero or misbadged B-box trying to start something.
When I "speak", they will know who is king, and I will decide when to speak.

2002 SLK32 AMG
[QUOTE=newsguy]Just curious why this would be done?QUOTE]
Because some people think the car looks nicer without the badges. When I bought my 32, the 32 was gone and so was the ///AMG. When I got it, I got rid of the V6 Kompressor on the sides and the SLK. Since then, I've replaced the ///AMG and the SLK32, but I still like the clean sides.

cvayala is right - it's a matter of preference. I think cars look much better (cleaner/classier/more symmetrical) without the badging on the trunk, hence it's the first thing to go.
