it is not that hard to get since i work for a dealer ship i work for luxury motors in hoffman estates illinois my buyer could get me one but i think i could get on for cheaper privately im in no rush i know exactly what one is worth i would like people to give me numbers of how much they would sell theirs for

Do tell - how much is one worth? Like fully loaded? I'm not really looking, as I already have one, but when I happen to notice SLKs for sale, it always seems to be 350s. How much are the SLK55s selling for right now? Thanks.

thats not what im saying im sure ill get one cheaper privately you never know someones situation money problems and things of that nature i know most of the people on this board know what their car is worth so next time you have something to say keep it to yourself I didn't come out and say I want an slk55 for 57000 Im basically looking and getting an idea for what they are going for and out of all the places to check this board is probably the best place to check
Next time instead of assuming what Im saying ask me and Ill tell you. the most Ill pay for one is 62000 fully loaded with under 10,000 miles 2005. I'm not low balling this car because I know what its capable of selling for. I can get one for 65000 silver on two tone red loaded 1400 miles. But i will be patient and see if there is anything better. This car is not impossible to get.
do u even drive a mercedes? the list of cars you got tells me you don't own one anymore.

One day we will all be looking to sell our cars for another one, and we'll be grateful that someone on this board is looking for exactly what we have. Would oyu rather have to go to a dealer and accept whatever he offers you? I can guarantee it will be much less than the 60,000 or even the 57,000 wholesale price. Don't be mad that he's shopping, be thrilled.
Also, $10k or so in depreciation for the first 10,000 miles ins't bad. Heck, if i could count on that for this car I'd have bought one new myself!

SLK55 vs. SLK350
1) Cubby2000 - would you please send me a few pics of the INTERIOR of your car. The Charcoal/Ash (actually, we were told Black/Ash) is the interior that we want in our SLK55 when we order it but so far no one has had it on their lot for us to actually look at. Even pics of it are hard to come by.

2) Although it was stated that the SLK55 is rare but not impossible to find, we offer this from our visits to dealers on Friday, 30 Sept. Not a single SLK55 was found in the DC Metro area for us to look at. We are trying to sell our Premiere Launch Edition SLK350 ( http://ICanHelp56.homestead.com/MB_SLK350_01.html ) so that we can order the new SLK55. Each dealer we visited commented about difficult they were to keep on the lot - once it came in, it was usually gone within a day, if not hours. One dealer said their record was 26 minutes. Each dealer stated that 'building your own' was the best way to get into an SLK55. That's probably what we will do.

Good luck with trying to find a used SLK55.
AMG built approximately 1,500 SLK55's for 2005 for the entire planet.
Do the math, and you can see that is not alot of cars considering the demand.
I hope that AMG continues to build the car in the very limited numbers it did last year.
It is for that very reason that I waited and bought the SLK55.
I wanted a car that was rare and exclusive. AMG and Mercedes have done that, and for a reasonably affordable cost.
