Read R&T, and it said the brand new 6.3 litre V8 will go to ML, SL and SLK in this order. It's time to hold back your order of SLK55.

I won't be waiting. I refuse to play that game. You can wait and wait and then never buy anything. If the 63 isn't released until 2007/2008 and you subscribe to the theroy of not buying a car in the first year production, then you won't be buying one until 2008/2009. Seems crazy to wait that long to me...

Absolutely. I am getting a E90 and could have waited for Jan 2006 production, so as the car 'a year younger' - good for future resale.
But I won't wait , I will order the November 04' production.
And, I won't wait even I am pretty sure the E90 coupe and cab will show up in mid 2006, or even an M3.

I am not a fan of the E90 model. I liked the lines of the E46 but the E90 3 series looks too much like a sedan. I have not seen confirmed shots of the E90 M3 either and I can't be waiting for something that I don't even know if I will like...

I almost went for the A3 FSI, but this time, I think it is still better to join the crowd. At least, it is a BMW ! :p

W203 is dying and MB makes it more complicated by feeding it a V6 230 280, 350 ; and it is still a W203 - good for the classic cars museum soon like W202.
CLK is going to be in a state of confusion along with CLS and the rumours of CLE. W204 still takes a year to come. A, ML, CL, S are just out of my imaginations :p

Don't count on it anytime soon. The ML is gonna get it, everyone knows that. Then probably the BIG rides and the SL. then it will filter down to the rest of them. Only MB knows who is gonna get what and when, and they are NOT talking (yet). There is a LOT of wishfull thinking going on now!

Good points. I opted to get the SLK55 now & mod it w/Kleemann goodies which deliver more power & torque than the stock 6.3L powerplant. Maybe you can put a blower on the 6.3 too, but I'm guessing the ROI on Hp gain to be small given this new displacement is intended for N/A operation only (at least at this point).

I agree. I think an SLK63 is likely 2 years off. Life's short...pull the trigger on the SLK55.

No regrets over here at least. I'll have enjoyed my 55 for at least 2 and a half years by the time the 63 comes out, so big deal

I'm very happy with the combo. Originally was considering the diamond silver, but I see that maybe that baby blue tint would not hold my interest. The white is timeless and always in style. Can't wait to see some pics of your new ride. Cheers!
