Picked up my SLK55 w/30 option
Not to be rude but holy S#$%. I used to drive a Lotus turbo esprit. The handling of this car even when new is just unbelievable. The wheels give it an incredible look and the sound is utterly awesome.
Will post pictures once I quit driving in a few days
.Only problem is the dealer forgot to give me the owners manual and I need to review how to operate the gadgets. I will go pick that up tomorrow.

I love the Lotus. The car is a blast to drive, very quick and great handling. The electrical was a little quirky as british cars can be sometimes.
That time frame is a great car, just make certain it was not driven too hard and that all maintenance was done. I truly believe that the pre owned Esprit may be one of the great values. The car always got plenty of looks. the biggest negative was the rear view (interior mirror virtually useless). Other negative was , dependent on the drivers height, it was a pain to get in and out of.

I just noted that you and I got our very similar cars on the same day, October 4th. How is it going? I love mine and am going to go for a drive right now before it clouds up anymore than it already has.
Don't forget to get the entire manual package. There are several manuals and they all come in a really nice leather, zip-up box-like bag with the M-B logo. Very nice. I'm sure it could easily be 'lost' in the dealer's shop.
Also, be sure to get the proper AMG logo floor mats, etc. The door sills also say AMG on them and could be easily substituted with the far more common 'SLK' door sills.
I've got 650 miles on my SLK 55 with the 030 package and words cannot adequately express the ...........
