Dinko,
You must have the most tricked out SLK55 in the whole country! Props to you and your tremendous effort!

Dean had just asked me to bring him a DVD to test out the unit and it sounds AMAZING! Better than my set up in home. The HK sound system is really put to work, and it made my head turn in one of the scenes in he movie!
Absolutely speechless... The Video is also better than any TV I've ever seen.

So how does someone get a hold of that verion of the NAV/DVD player, and if you don't mind my asking, how much?
In my older LK32, I had a top of the line DVD/NAV/XM system put in by a local shop and I loved it (The screen popped out to view).

1/ Determine the part number to be installed
2/ Look in developer menu of OCP to see which code page setting relates to the part number being installed
3/ Remove old sensor - if removed totally and not split apart then also remove silicon layer left behind
4/ If necessary clean the glass with large amounts of paper
5/ Apply the new sensor
6/ Code EIS / System Diagnose RAIN SENSOR = PRESENT
7/ Initial startup on OCP and set codes as needed and perform normalisation.
Should work.

We already tried that same step many times. Still didn't work. Since there are multiple "Rain + Light Sensor" parts, he will get all the possible ones, and try his luck next time.Originally Posted by benzmodz

Refer back to step II - there is no need to buy more than one part number. Originally Posted by dinko

Does MBENZNL have a DVD playback kit that can be adapted to the regular North American Command/Nav systems?

It was featured in his most recent images of his own car build. He has both single slot, multi slot and DIVX hard drive systems.Originally Posted by MPRESION

Your car should be fine, I think mine was produced even earlier than that since I took delivery in November 04.
I dont' remember how much I paid, contact MBENZNL for that.
