275's - Last chance to talk me out of them!
I'm ready to order a new set of ****ty Pirelli's for the rear since the front's are still good for more miles.
What are everyone's thoughts on switching over to 275 from 265 with a 9.5 19" wheel?

Maybe...
Here's a cool calculator to compare the sizes.
http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp
.........width..........sidewall........diameter
245 = 9.64..............3.37............24.75
265 =10.43.............3.12............25.25
275 =10.82.............3.24............25.49
You're getting considerable more width than the 265 or even the stock 245. I would only be concerned with rubbing and the overall diameter being that its .75" greater than the stock tire. I wonder if it would dramatically alter the performance? I guess you'll find out

Thanks brotha!
Hmm.. this kind of information makes it tempting for me to see just how far I can go with this car. I guess I'll give the 275's a try... wish me luck guys!

Hmm? I'm not sure if it would or would not cause a problem with ESP.
It doesn't matter how different the overall diameter is when comparing the front to rear as much as the difference when comparing stock to aftermarket diameter sizes.
Now, your front switch from 225/40/18 to 235/35/19 increased the diameter from 25.08 to 25.47.
The rears would change from 24.75 to 25.49.
Stock difference from front to rear -.32
Aftermarket difference front to rear +.02
Since both the front and rear are increasing in diameter, perhaps ESP wont be affected. However, if the fronts decreased while the rears increased, then it would be even a greater difference in diameter.
I, like I always say, am no expert. This is simply what makes sense to me. I'd imagine that the greater rotational differences than OE, the greater chance ESP would be faulty. Think of it this way... The ESP algorithum may not make sense as it sees wheels spinning at different revolutions than programmed. Many have tried 265 with no problems. Would 275 make a difference? Don't know.
Maybe you can find a local shop or a forum member that is discarding their old 275/30 tires. Then, you could temporarily mount them and get your answer. Or YOU can find out by taking the plunge.

Brabus Springs, Kleemann Lip, and painted sidemarkers are coming at the end of the month. I got lots of work and lots of travel this month - little time for the car.
dsb, I'm finishing the set off with Pirelli Rosso's.

Totally wrong. There is a built in limtation for taller or shorter tires of about 4%. I have done this stuff a bunch of times. The 275's will work fine and in fact are a much better size for the 9.5" rims.

Dinko,
How about some Yokohama Sports- their flagship tire? The reviews are great and you can find every single size. I will buy a set of Advans A048 for the track next month.
