cayman S or z4 M coupe?
Iam thinking of getting one of the 2 cars... for track days , the SLK 55 is a bit too soft for my taste and doesn't give feedbacks through the steering wheel , any thoughts?

if it is for the track, get a lotus Exige. That is what i would get if it was for track use only. The cayman S is too expensive for what it is. The Z4M would probably be the better car of thr two, but it is too risky as far as depreciation!..... i almost bought an elise in the past, i backed off as it is just crap for daily use, but as far as letting a car rip and corner, IMHO for under 100K you just cant do any better

Cayman S. Or Lotus Elise or Exige. And if you're willing to spend the money on a Cayman S, you might as well consider the new C6 Z06 -- it's one heckuva track car.....
I'm getting a Cayman S. I've already got 4 Lotus Elises. And I am still thinking about picking up a new Z06 for a track car....

80% iam to the z4 Mcoupe .... about the price , I could get a cayman s that has no fancy options.. still under process... the z06 is great, tried just the c6 , similar performance of the SLK 55 (c6) ... thanx guys for the opinions

This is going to be a classic comparison for years to come. I think that z4m is going to be a suprising monster as a track car, since even the old z4 roadster handled very well. The Gayman S will also be a terrific car, but in typical Porsche fashion it overpriced by about 15 grand for what you get. I have to give all the style points to the Cayman, however, the z4 just has too many lines for my taste, it seems to be trying too hard.

Car and Driver have recently compared the Cayman S to the Exige...... they gave the win to the Cayman which was a bit faster on track and much faster on the road.
The Z4M will probably be very good but we'll have to wait a while for some proper reviews.

The Exige is a very sharp looking car, but underpowered. Regardless of how light it is, a 190 hp Toyota engine is still a 190 hp Toyota engine. Recently read in Car and Driver about two modified Elises, both supercharged. Now, with 400 hp and the newer, lighter Exige body...a serious machine would be born.
Power: 400 hp
Weight: 1925 lbs
Power to Weight Ratio = 4.8 lbs/hp
Peace

As for the M Coupe and Cayman S...well, I believe that the M will be faster off the line, but the Cayman S will still remain to more balanced handler. A Twin Turbo on the Cayman S could make things very interesting though...

I read this same article off the Porsche discussion boards as well. The exige may be a great track car, but it couldn't keep up with the cayman S, and there is no way it will keep up with a 340 hp Z4m.
