Want to trade for C55 wheels?

I'm looking for a fresh look on my C and was hoping that maybe an SLK55 owner with the 18" multispoke turbine style wheels was looking to do the same thing. I'm currently running staggered 18" AMG IV wheels from the C55 and since the C and SLK share wheel fitment, why not take the opportunity to do an easy swap. All four wheels were recently refinished to get rid of the random scratches they've incurred during the past year (yes, I'm that particular about the condition of my wheels). A local CA swap would be ideal so neither of us have to worry about incurring shipping damage or costs. I'm located in Central California (Fresno), so either NorCal or SoCal should work. No curb rashes, dents or cracks on my wheels, so I would expect the same from you. Let me know!

i doubt the 18" slk55 amg wheels will look better on your car. the only car i've seen them on besides the SLK55 was its father, the SL55 ! i don't think it fits looks-wise

IMHO, you just got bored with those C55 wheels. To me, C55 wheels is still the best

Not to mention when it's the time to clean the SLK55 wheels

I can't argue with that. I am going for a new look for spring and I like the SLK55 wheels. I don't necessarily like them better than my C55 wheels, but just want something different. Since C and SLK share wheel fitment, I figured I might as well give it a shot.

It's true that cleaning all those spokes will not be fun, but I'm up for the challenge.

So....you are saying that the wheels of a C32/C55 will fit an SLK 55? Why is it that TireRack does NOT have any fitments (yet) for the 55? I saw on this forum an SLK 55 with SL65 wheels on it. Does this meanst that the fitment is the same?

My research tells me that SL (as well as S, CL, and W211 E) wheels use 14mm bolts, while C, CLK, SLK, and W210 E) wheels use 12mm bolts. It is possible, but not recommended, to machine the holes of the cars using smaller bolts to accept the larger bolts.

Blake, why don't you just buy Yellow1's rims instead of trying to do a swap with him. Buy his and then sell yours. I'm sure someone on here or on Ebay will want your C55 rims. You might not be able to get dollar for dollar, but I'm sure pretty close to it. C55 rims on Ebay are very limited. Back in December one sold for $2375 not including shipping. It was new car take off though. Then back in February, I was able to convince a seller to sell a new car take offs and cancel the auction. If he didn't end the auction, it would have sold for around the same price.
