SLK55 18" rims/tires for sale
Hey Gang,
I am getting some new rims/tires for our SLK so I will be selling my current 18" AMG rims & tires. Here is the link with the full description & pics that I posted yesterday. These rims are a direct bolt on to many MB models so they will obviously fit a 350 R171. The rims are in perfect condition - zero scratches.
The first $2k + shipping takes 'em (they will be avail by 4/5 when my new rims arrive).

Those are nice rims too. You have a good looking C55 pal!
I just can't help ya as my Fikse Profile 10s are being manufactured as we speak (which are needed to accomodate more rubber). .

FWIW, its usually 6 wks to manufacture a set of rims (although they did it in 4 kws when I got them for my RX-7). They "might" be able to expedite your order if you request it. Hope this helps pal.

I presume they have the fitment from your car, correct? Did you provide them with the measurements or did they have them stored? What size did you asked for? What's the weight?

With Fikse, they know exactly what the fitment is for your application (caliper clearence/offset, etc). Fikse does not male rims in .5" widths...only whole numbers - mine are 8" front & 9" rear. I can't recall the weight - I'll have to call & reconfirm tomorrow.

You sure about this???? I have a set of FM10's that were on my BMW E39 and are 8.5" frt and 9.5" rear. They can make the wheels any width you want as far as I know. I just wish they would fit my new W203!!!

I'm not surprised you need more tire. My stock car keeps spinning the rears in dry 80F weather.
How is the new found hp treating your car? Any issues other than traction?
How is the trans holding up? Any overheating issues with the motor or has the weather not got hot enough yet?

No issues other than traction below 80 mph. I'll keep an eye on the temps as the weather gets warmer but I am not anticipating any issues. FWIW, I've only got 6.8k miles on the car & about 3k of that with the Kleemann mods so its not that much mileage. Although we actually pamper the car, its spent some time on the dyno at 180+ mph - zero issues
. This thing is built like a Panzer tank. I ordered the Kleemann diffuser & Fikse rims along with some Goodyear F1 GDS3 tires (265s for the rear). While they are great tires on my RX-7, I'm expecting marginal traction help on the SLK due to 460 rwtq (but its all the SLK can accomodate without sticking some jackarse looking fender flares on the car which would absolutely ruin the car IMO).

I do agree with your theory of too much rear tire; the car has great lines and a fat *** would ruin a beautiful car.
What is the wear rating on the Goodyears?
If they dont give you enough grip, which i'm sure they wont, try some Toyo Proxy R1's (if they have the correct size) they have a wear rating of 100(i think) and also have strong sidewalls for high speed.

). I think in the dry, they are #2 (but just barely...not enough of a margin anyone will notice on the street). They RULE in the rain (although I don't drive my sports cars in the wet due to excessive idiocy that abounds when it starts raining).I'll take some pics when I get the diffuser (just ordered) & rims & tires installed. Brandon from Kleemann is fine tuning my beast as we speak on 100 octane - I'm hoping for 500 rwhp+ (c'mon BABY!!!!

My new rims weigh 19.6 lbs front & 20.1 lbs rear (an avg of 6.5 lbs/corner drop in unsprung weight over stock).
