K&N drop in kilter 2006 slk 55 amg
Hi everyone I;m intrested in getting a K&N drop in filter for my 06 slk 55 amg. i was looking on k&n website but they dont have one listed for an 06 but they do have one for the 05. are there any differences? will i need 1 or 2? finally what kind of gains should i be expecting and any notiable change in sound?

Here is a tip before installing them keep them out for the excessive oil to dry; They tend to come Overoiled from the factory those K&N's

Honestly, there is no big difference in sound or power.
I had the swap done, and whilst it feels like the car has slightly better throttle response, it could just be my imagination. You're only looking at maybe 1 or 2 extra hp max...
Also, it seems like the K&N's add a little "burble" to the sound, which in itself is kind of fun. i.e. when you accelerate hard and then let go, the rumbling of the engine stays..

I've got some Green filters that have been sitting in my house for about 2 weeks. I simply haven't had time to install them. I assume they are pre-oiled too. Are you suggesting to take them out of the box for awhile? Put them in the sun? What?
