New Fikse rims/tires for the SLK
Got some new rims & tires (265's in the rear = more traction
). These aren't great pics, but I'll get some better ones maybe this weekend at the local Mercedes meet.
See ya,

Ricky, rims dropped 6.5 lbs/corner = 26 lbs unsprung weight drop (and a little more traction front & rear). I didn't want 19" - too small a sidewall (no rubber bands for tires on this car - I wanted a softer ride than our RX-7).

Finally, eh?
I'm glad you got it all worked out! I'm looking forward to seeing you roast those new tires at the meet. 265 is good, but it's still be no match for 500whp!
Congrats.

I've been runnning the GS-D3's on my last 4 cars and i love them, I hope you have the same experience. I find them very well mannered and predictable to the limit. The car looks great!

Much better/high quality pics of Dan's (DSB), mine, & Jesse's SLK55s along with a gaggle of other Benzes (including a Renntech SL65 - belonging to Ben Treynor, who also took the pics).
I swear, I think Bens camera cost more than some of our cars - 39 Megepixel - no shiate - serious resolution.
