How fast have you taken your SLK 55
Again, I repeat: don't be offended. My goal was not to remove signs of the 197mph entirely in 10x zoom, so I didn't bother with a clean Photoshop job.
That much should be obvious.. your original post is in the same thread, so obviously mine was Photoshop'd!

Good for you.
I have never gone that fast myself.
Would love to get into racing school in the near future, and find out what it's like to go 200 MPH.
Will post pics of my speedometer then, and you can get back at me then...

my 2004 c230 was wrecked.
my other car is a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am SE
I test drove an SLK55 AMG, but didn't buy it yet, as I am going to buy my second home by end of summer, so I hope to have new pics this Fall.
And I also plan on getting a 2008 C-class late next year.

There is not even a faint image there. You wiped it out in post.
At best you were in KPH mode (hence the reason for the picture edit).
You were going 123mph.
We're not going to by that you had a rental SLK55 AMG, that somehow happened to have the limiter removed AND that somehow this was the one of the speedometers that was at the full limit of inaccuracy (your quoted 15%), etc., etc.
Post a camera video showing the speed needle climb and the MPH indicator or better yet, shoot the Digital Speed reading in the MFD as that one would be much harder to photochop.
End of story.

P.S. where the hell does it say "racing a c class"

take it easy we are only joking with you. If you went 300 mph, it's your life and your gas. Have fun with it.
Food for thought, if you want us to believe that pigs can fly, at least take a good picture from the grassy knoll.

im sure my story is the case with this particular situation.

Funny thing is for a "real photo" is that the "MPH" in the middle of all SLK55 speedos is missing......nice try....anyone who cuts this image off of the web site and zooms in can see the paste.......
I'll give you credit for this, at least you brought some life to this forum...

Tire width 245
Aspect ratio 35
Rim Dia 18
Trans gear ratio 7th gear 0.73:1
final drive ratio 3.06:1
in theory.
top speed at 6000 rpm is 197Mph.

But in the real world in 5th gear you'd reach 156.42mph at 6500rpm.
Guess thats why top gear is a waste of time and 5th gear is the best.. VBH show us *$#%
