i dont think thats a 55... you never see attributes of a 55, the SLK350 has the same interior... i think its a 350.... which SLK55 AMG owner would upload that video anyways? NONE because we know we'd win

On the track, 1/4 mile every body wants to race the SLK

I've just read your post, no point in arguing with a 20 yr olds, him and mliner thinks M3's could beat anything and everything on the road. I just go to bimmer forums for their off topic b/c it's funny, everything else I ignore b/c it's just ignorance, most members are 24 and under, you can't blame them for their stupity.

Yes, I saw that thread. My opinion, but seems there is too much misinformation being tossed around in there. Examples:
1) OC Swede's M3 dynoed 437 rwhp, not 500+. You don't pick up 63+ rwhp off race gas. All car's ECUs adapt to accomodate different octane ratings within a band set at the factory. So yes, you will pick up a few ponies if you run, say 95 vs 91, but thats it. You don't keep picking up more power the higher octane you run unless you adjust boost & other metrics accordingly (in fact, it can begin running too rich unless you add more air to the equation to lean it back out so it operates within optimal A/F ratios). Its easy to adjust boost with turbo cars (ala' my RX-7), more difficult & involved for blown powerplants (you don't just insert 116 & get 63+ rwhp). I dunno, maybe he's running even more boost. It sounds like a powder keg though? Swede's M3 is pretty cool though & it seems maybe he's chilled a little (a good thing). At the start of that thread he was pretty "obtuse"?

2) That video has been beat to death. Its basicly a modded M3 (which I correctly said from day 1) with 4.10 gears (significant), lower restriction air filter & an exhaust mod (both very minor). The stock SLK55 had a 265 lb driver + 175 lbs passenger, while the M3 guy is thin & by himself. The M3 is also a Euro spec M3 (5 more Hp than the SLK55 to begin with). After all these facts got ferretted out, its not a surprising result (more power & lighter weight = faster car)

Most those guys are pretty cool, some not so cool, same with any forum.

There's no way he's making 500whp with only 10psi. That's like 250hp+ over stock, I bet he's never even posted a dyno run on the forums over there showing his uber hp.
