Derelique, the two methods your tried (first and second post) were LIVE link methods, but you were linking to your personal computer.
That won't work (obviously!). First, because your PC is not connected all the time (probably), but also because your PC is not a web server (probably).
For an http link to work it has to be pointed to a resource on the web (for pictures, something like FileShak, or even Myspace).
For the second method (the /IMG), it's the same, just the forum editor was handling the http link for you.
So for either of those to work you would have to have your pics on some web server somewhere.
However, as DINKO noted, MBWorld does allow you to store the pics directly on MBWorld. So you don't use a web link. You upload (and store) the pics directly on the MBWorld server, using the Manage Attachments button this in the Addtional Options section, when you are editing a post.
Note there is a size limitation when storing on MBWorld, 800x600 resolution is max (smaller is ok), and size of 1.14MB max. And I think a max of 5 pics per post (but you can do multiple posts if you want).
So you may have to resize your pics first using Windows or your picture application.
If you use the first two methods and point to a legimate web server, then there is no limitation. Which is how we get those big pictures that don't fit on the screen and take forever to load!

I have a new HP laptop which allows me to put the memory stick into it and get my pics on my comp.......the pics are too big though, do i need to buy software so i can resize the pics?

step by step
1) copy the pictures from the thumbdrive onto your computer.
2) you probably have microsoft office, so use Microsoft Office picture Manager, open the picture with that and change the size. make sure you save the picture as a JPEG (.jpg). Reduce the resolution to 800 by 600
3) Post a Reply, MANAGE ATTACHMENTS, and select the pictures.
4) WE GOT TO see THE PIcs!

Derelique, assume you are running Windows XP on your laptop.
Here is much simpler way to resize pics, if you don't want to mess with a full photo editor/organizer.
Go here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx
Download and install the file: ImageResizer.exe it's on the right a little more than halfway down.
Or easier take this direct link, when the Run, Save, Cancel box pops up, hit Run.
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe
Now you have a context menu entry called Resize Pictures built into Windows Explorer. Context Menu is what you get when you Right Click on a file in Windows Explorer.
Go to the directory where the pics are. Right click on one and select Resize Pictures with your mouse, then follow the windows popups to resize.
VERY SIMPLE.
It will create a new file (picture) with the same name but with the word Small (or Medium, or Large) also in the name. Your original picture is not touched.

Quick question on the Bentley...does it have Bentley's version of ventilated seats and keyless go? Are those even options?

massage seats, thats it...the seats are great though, damn comfortable. No keyless go, and im pretty sure that wasnt an option....he (the old man) bought it new but didnt order the car, saw it at dealer loved it and payed a lil over sticker.
This Saturday he picks up his Rolls Phantom so i will take pics and have them posted next week....i look forward to seeing how tiny my slk will look next to it.
