Transmission Problem...any ideas???

So i did a searhc and couldn't find anything. In any mode(lets say S for argument) if i accelerate hard from a stop car holds 1st until hitting the rev limitter and then their is a huge lag and and and then it shifts to 2nd...then every other shift is fine...

Ive tried rolling at a bout 15 mh and hammering it so it downshifts to first, but it then does the same thing and holds 1st until i slam the rev limiter...

It will oftne even chirp when it finally shifts to 2nd...

Don't know what's causing the problem. Try to reset the ECU with this trick:

Tha nks dsb and vadim. Everthing ive read about that reset procedure isit was only for hte models with the 5 sp...tried it and now now issues. Dowsnt mean it wont come back, b/c it seems to be intermittent! If it keeps up, it will be in the shop for sure!

Man, Falco you must have been typing fast! Too bad there's no spell checker. lol.

I tried the reset and it seemed to work for me. I don't think it's only for the 5 speed. Anyways, I hope everything goes well. If not, you got a warranty and hopefully it's a quick repair.

Falco Ive had the same prob with mine , some times it runs into governor with huge delay before shifting and then also chirps the tyres into second .
Only under flat out acceleration . Most of the times ive noticed the esp warning triangle come on when this is happening . Ive half desabled esp useing the dash button but it still some times does it .never tried dyno mode though .
its never don it under normal hard acceleraton only wen I floor it . I was thinking maybe there is a safety mesure to prevent us from shifting into second and spinning out of control , any way mine still in the shop power steering messed up PS be carefull wile doing doughnuts ive read a couple of posts in the c55 forum were there power steering packed up as well after doing doughnuts.
