Lol........if you can't even figure that out, I doubt that you can figure out how to put in the filters.

Basically pull straight up and unlatched the metal clip on top, detail instructions on Slkworld.com.

I just put my green filters in. I am hearing a slight noise from the engine when the car accelerates. I believe it to be the lifters. I hadn't noticed it prior. It's not offensive, just barely noticeable. the guy who put them in said it's probably due to the increased air flow. could there be a correlation?

It is a bit louder with the greens, should be normal, if you are concern, re-check to see if everything is installed correctly, make sure it's a tight snug fit.

Thanks YNOT. The sound isn't a bother. I can barely hear it but I do hear it....also, the shop(authorized MB independant shop) did an oil change. They used Pentosin Pento High Performance oil. When I asked why not(YNOT, get it) Mobil 1, he said that this oil is high performance synthetic and used in germany for MB's and BMW's. i looked it up and it indeed seems fine but has anyone heard of it/used it? thanks.

Pentosin is a high quality oil, I've heard of it before....... but I've never heard of an actual MB dealer recommending it or even using it
Mercedes recommends Mobil 1 in all their products, and even have an explicit sticker stating that under almost every hood of their cars.

I was already at the shop so I just let him do it. But I did say I thought Mercedes recommends Mobil 1. And he said that this was better. That they use this in germany. I don't know. I'll probably get mobil 1 next time. he recommended oil changes every 6,000 miles (i'm in south florida)

The Pento High Performance 5w-40 is excellent oil. It meets MB Spec 229.3, and I use it myself in any cars that do not require the new 229.5(1) specification.

As far as the M1 stickers, it is just a marketing deal for the US market, those stickers are not found in Europe (and I doubt anywhere else). More information here:
