Techron Fuel Treatment

Anyone ever try Techron (a fuel additive made by Chevron) in their '55? Did it make a noticeable difference in any way?

It works to help remove deposits from the fuel tank, fuel line, and injectors, valves and what not. Grab yourself a "techron fuel system cleaner" bottle thats good for 20 gallons and pur the entire thing on an empty tank. Then fill up Premium 91/93 octane gas and let it do its thing while you drive.

I hear these things are usually just snake bite oil or whatever it is you tend to call stuff that in reality, is just placebo related.

Most quality gasolines, especially high test already contain cleaning additives. So it may be a waste of $$$
Techron is good for cleaning fouled fuel sending unit sensors. This is a problem found in many VW's and some Chevy's but not Benz's AFAIK

Why not just buy Chevron gas? It already has Techron in it.

Chevron is good for the techron, but 76 has the lowest ethanol content here , well at least in California.
