First 2009 Kleemann-charged SLK55
As some of you might have been to 6speedonline and follow GMP Performance's thread on their SLK55 Kleemann project, I'm happy to say the car is finally done. Car is staying at GMP for another day for final checks, minor touch-ups, detailing, and she is coming home on Thursday. I flew down to GMP to inspect the car & GMP's work today, and because I have a close relation with a shop in NJ which builds all-out race cars, I'm very **** about worksmanship quality, but I'm happy to give GMP a B+ on the work they had performed on my car, just some minor stuff they missed which I pointed out when I was down there today took away some points.
How should I describe my car, well, it likes to pull, the kind of pull that's very addicting and dangerous, but on the other hand, it's very smooth, it feels like a very well built and tuned normally aspirated engine. Here's the big part, because the car is completely catless and unresonated, it sounds like a machine gun at WOT. If you go to youtube and watch some WWII videos with P-51's firing their guns, you will know what I mean. Another interesting fact is that the car still has a better MPG than my wife's complete stock C63, LOL!!! 14.4 MPG compare with the C's 13.7MPG.
She is coming home on Thursday and I expect to welcome her back to the stable on Saturday, and here are some pictures I took today when I was there for 2.5 hrs. Enjoy!!!

Thanks for the complements people. On the other hand, I talked to Matt @ GMP today about the car's shipping schedule, looks like the transport company is going to pick up the car either late Thursday afternoon or Friday morning, but Houston, we have a problem, this Saturday is the only day I'm avaliable to pick up my GT-R. I'm hoping the SLK is going to show up before 11 A.M. or after 1 P.M., so I can plan the day accordingly.

Love to see how my SLK holds up against my GT-R, but no one else in the house is going to pilot the other. By my imagination, my SLK is going to hang with the GT-R above 100MPH, given the weight difference, driveline setup, crank hp difference, and of course, aerodynamics.
I will make it to the next Captree, LI Sunday meet in either car, so if any of you NY-kers wanna ride with me, let me know.

Looking for a new toy.
Haven't checked in here in awhile, but congrats on the car and the extensive work performed to it - will head over to the other site to check out all the details.
Would love to see some dyno/track results! Congrats again on such an awesome ride!

Congrats on such an awesome car collection. The SLK is a wonderful car. Supercharged, it must be a beast. The GTR can take care of all the daily chores with its extra seats and trunk... and a great track car as well. It seems you have all the bases covered.
BTW, did you remove both primary and secondary cats? Any CELs? That thing must be loud! I was considering replacing my secondary cats with straight pipes. Yet, I was scared of the volume. With a supercharger, headers, and no cats, I can only imagine what your car sounds like. Of course, you could put an end to my imagination by simply posting a video.

I agree, 20s are stupid, the car doesn't have 16" rotors, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to call HRE and get myself some 19s instead.
Latest update on SLK, looks like the car is leaving tomorrow morning from GMP, and I will have the car back on Monday and I guess I can spend the weekend with my GT-R.

Yeah, you guys are correct, I stand corrected. Factory rims were specially designed to handle the tremendous lateral G generated by the car, so the wheels won't spin within the tires. I guess I'm keeping them, just wish they are not 20s.

Update: SLK just got on the truck, and it's about to leave Charlotte, NC as we speak. It's scheduled to be delivered next Wednesday. That means I have 4 days to get those 1000 miles on the GT-R before hammering it down, great!
