Undercharging for services....
So I get in a small argument with my mechanic for undercharging me for services. Who installs a set of aftermarket headers and only wants to charge 2 hours labor? Here's to the independent MB mechanic that despite these economic times still refuses to stick it up our jacksie. Anyone in the Los Angeles Redondo Beach area, this is your guy. Oh, he does bimmers too.

I installed the new AMS stainless "short-tube" headers. Stay tuned for a full write up and photos soon. I've done a pre-install dyno run and now I'm letting the ecu adapt before I do a post-install dyno run. I scraped my bumper cap and I just removed the bumper cap today for a respray, so I need a few extra days to get this done first.
Check them out. Like Penelope Cruz, they are much better looking in person...

Yes, please post your impressions and dynos. When it comes to mods on an N/A car I'm really on the fence if it's worth it sometimes. But, we have to work with what we have I guess.

Will do. My goal is to keep things simple, inexpensive, but to unlock its hidden talent. MB builds great cars, but they go overboard on detuning and dulling things down so that the car will last 200k miles even driven by the village idiot.

I found it on Benzworld.org, here is the link of the pics, but I cannot find the written instructions. I'll keep looking... Not difficult, but a bit time consuming. Make sure to baggie and label all the removed hardware - there is a lot more than you think.

Yeah, he is a good egg. Been going to him since 2003 when I bought a used 2002 BMW m3. He does MB, BMW and Minis (BMW lights). He was refered to me by another car nut.
