Quaife LSD install by TTM

I also posted on SLKWorld.com and wanted to share the great experience i had with Bruce/TTM.

Just had the Quaife LSD installed on last week at TTM in Long Island. Bruce has done many of these installs and he did a great job on my SLK55. He went above and beyond to ensure the install was completed on time and done correctly. This was an install that the local shops I spoke with were very reluctant to take on...and I didn't want them to learn on my car!

It was a perfect day to test out the unit - a light drizzle that encourages wheel spin. Car was MUCH more controllable and hooked up well on the slick road. Much less ESP intervention as well. I was amazed by the difference and it was well worth the trip to have the install completed by experienced professionals. Also a fun opportunity to learn more about performance mods - Bruce is a great guy and takes the time to explain things to newbies like myself. I would highly recommend TTM. Thanks Bruce!

p.s. Please thank Bill for his help as well!

Which model did you have installed? The QDF9V or the QDF9V-2? Seems the heavy duty one QDF9V-2 requires axle modifications.

Good to hear it worked out for you. Quaife is one of the favorite installs on my ride, it is an instant and significant mod. I've got the 27B, a euro version of the beefed up 9V.

Ppower,

I had the standard QDF9V installed. Didn't need more since the output of my car is low compared to some of the modded E55s out there. Thanks.

An LSD makes a world of difference and I finally realized it after I had mine installed also. Bruce is a great guy and have heard nothing but good things of him!

Did you have to have your axles modified for the 27B?

Thanks,

Hmm, wonder what the difference is between the two so that the QDF9V-2 requires axle modifications.
