Very nice color. They need to remove that stupid SLR front plate, It looks out of place.

Why would they even put that plate on the front of the car, looks terrible.

 

So far I've seen photos of SLR's in green, blue, white, red, and orange. I'm going to the factory in February to see what the other 'factory' color options are. I like seeing the SLR in 'other' colors. (of course you can order one in any MBZ color -- so I am sure that more than a few people have done one in a 'different' color).

 

That front plate is required in certain non-US countries. It is NOT standard on SLR's in the US. Some of the SLR pictures I've seen from other countries have HUGE front plates, and are simply horrible.

Not too dark, not too bright. Just the right kind of blue. I'm in love.

 

i think with any dark blue, there should be chrome rims. those turbines would look nice with a chrome job

According to my sources they sold it at the show for $2M durhams and took orders for four more exactly like it(!). They've already got a ton of SLR's in the UAE and Saudi Arabia ( I think there are more SLR's in Saudi Arabia than in the US) -- but I've been telling people for six months that the new available colors would renew interest in the car....
I'm planning on going to the factory in February specifically to see the new colors for myself.

 

wow, i like that better than the black. The blue works with the metal flake better. The Black SLR i saw looked like it had glitter dumped all over it.

 

It's a really nice color, I must admit...although I absolutely LOVED the black one I saw in person...I thought the finish was outstanding. I'm torn b/t the blue and black now...but still lean black.
