Apparently there is still a lot left for McLaren to get out of it... I already contacted them for pricing/figures. It's still ugly but with all that power can you really argue... There is always Brabus. The CGTs better watch out 
Performance 537kW / 730 HP at 6500 rpm.
Torque 900 Nm at 3000-5200 rpm.
MKB sport camshafts with upsized valve lift
and adapted valve springs
Modified intake and exhaust ports
Modified supercharger,increased boost pressure to 1,1bar
MKB modified exhaust system for a lower exhaust back pressure and sporty sound
MKB sport air filter system
Modification on the engine electronics,
MKB software reprogramming ignition and injection mapping
V-max from series 334 km/h to 350 km/h

The only thing that would that would be a downer are the brakes. Everyone on the board who owns one seems to hate them, however, I find it surprising that I have read nothing about the loud noises they make. Even Clarkson who took the SLR on a 1800 mile trip across Europe who surely would have said something if they could be heard from a mile away. Intresting....

Yes, but I'm hoping that MKB will be a little more reasonable in their cost. Brabus wants 56K just for 30-35Hp 
From what I've seen on the cost of the E55 Packages I'm assuming that MKB will be in the 30-50K range. For that price I could do a TT setup on the Murc.

I try really, really hard not to give out details in public. But I do own an international supercar business (started as a way to support my habit) so I've seen most of them and own one or two of or have owned one of most of them too. One of the reasons I have so many residences is that I have so many cars -- and didn't want to have to do a Leno or a Lauren.
I rarely find myself modding one as I really appreciate the individuality...so I wondered if you actually did or liked modding yours....

The brakes on mine make a little noise but bad at all.
I have read on here some what other are saying. mine are not like that.
mine sound like a car that has haze from sitting for a while.

Oh, and personal opinions are like belly-buttons...but I have always thought that those MKB wheels are FUGLY! ... and they stick them on the RSE too!

I've tested a "old" S7 and I had a few complaints about. The fact that they are very very hard to get in and out of, the pedals are also pretty tight and it makes heel-toe a little tough, I also didn't like the Boxster Style 2 trunks the one behind the engine will likely fry your luggage. Other than that it was a great experience, plenty of power on tap but defiantly a weekend/track car only. They have begun to retro-fit pre 05 models with the TT kits and new FS/RS and it makes since to go that root IMO.

I didn't like the old car either. New one is a whole new ballgame. They've re-engineered and fixed most of the foibles, so it is a much better car. For example: still the tight footwell, but the better pedal spacing and adjust feature makes for a much better situation. Just about everything on the new car is better -- and man does the new one ride, handle, and go..... A lot of performance for the money with the new car. You should check the tt out when you get a chance.
True, most of the super exotics - with few exceptions - don't have much for luggage room and you have to learn how to get in and out of 'em -- but talk about performance!
You don't take the Lambo for more than on overnighter do you? I've got one car that we always joke has enough luggage space for your credit card -- and that's all you need! Buy new clothes every day and mail the dirty ones home (will that get you in trouble with shipping biohazard laws?)
I think the SLR's only real current competition in the true Grand Tourer with performance category are the Superamerica and the Veyron.....
