My 2003/2004 Slr
Has anybody heard anything about the Vision SLR recently? Also, anybody have a guess at the naming system they will use for this supercar? Same system as always? - SLR550, SLR600, etc etc...might get confused with the SL-Class, don't you think?

No new info has come out about this car. Last I heard was it will be out in 2003.

Latest info is that Production will begin near the end of 2002 at the new McLaren Factory; first cars to be delivered early 2003. Price estimated at 750,000 DM or around $340,000. Production will be limited to 500 cars; single engine is speced: A version of the same 5.5 liter V8 Kompressor found in the SL 55, also built by AMG but tuned to produce 560HP, 800 NM of torque and rev limit of 7000 RPM. Scheduled to debut at the Paris Auto Show Sept. 28th 2002.

Wee! On that site though...the Maybach is 340,000 Euros and the SLR is 410,000 Euros. Or something.
