What seems even more surprising is that--as far as I can tell--the SLR has two people on board (a passenger holding the camera) whereas the ferrari seems to have only the driver onboard. The SLR is truly brutal.

I've only seen one SLR in person in my life and I was the passenger in a car waiting at a light to turn left and this SLR comes out of no where, stops at the red and then turns right and the sound it makes is ferocious, I've heard plenty of supercars at full throttle but none of them are as brutal as the SLR, not surprised at all that the SLR walked the 599 with all that torque that 5.5 V8 with a supercharger makes.
