It appears that the power of the SLR was increased to 618 hp to top the SL65 (612 hp) and make it the most powerful Mercedes. Interesting, however, that the car will be offered under the McLaren label as the McLaren SLR...

The concept has more beautiful design. Too much time of preparation destroyed the first idea.
Anyway, it will be a good car, as always MB does.

white and whiter
I'm sorry, but i can't get pass that the car has the MB star and only a tiny McLaren badge. Although it is a beautiful car.

McLaren F1 was a true McLaren with it's CF body structure. only the engine was from BMW.

What would the Mclaren F1 be without its BMW V12?

What would the Pagani Zonda be without its Mercedes-AMG V12?

What would the SLR be without its Mercedes styling and Mercedes-AMG V8 Kompressor?

NOTHING...

The engine of ANY car is its heart. The most fundamentally important object of a car is its engine, the heart and soul. The aforementioned cars would be nothing without their engines so far, the only companies who have built supercars with their own styling and engines are Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti and now Porsche.

If there is only one Mclaren badge, then rightly so.

No way...these curved 9-spoke rims are so much better looking.
The 5-spoke one in the other picture looks simply too ordinary and doesn't seem to belong to a supercar like this. It was used only because it was on a camouflaged car being tested.

Audi 80 Quattro (with a couple of modifications)
That car is just sweet. I could do without the huge vents on the front fender, but I would still take one with no complaints.

Its funny how so many people who can not even PRETEND to afford the car can be so critical of it..... Lets ease off criticizing a car that so many hard working people spent countless hours CREATING from scratch, especially when you are not even potential buyers.. I can understand if you plan on buying it, but cmon dont HATE on the price because you can't afford it. How are you going to tell the manufactuers what to charge for their OWN products??Sorry just ranting again.....

Exactly, I am willing to bet that Mercedes sells every unit that they build. Plus there isn't going to be a huge production number on them so they have to recoup the R&D cost through only a few units. And in my opinion the car is worth every penny that they are asking.
