SLS ESP Sport issue
I realized after turning the ESP sport on for the SLS for around 10 minutes, the vehicle's RPM just suddenly goes below 1000 rpm and you can't move it anymore until you turn it off and then on again.
A message also appears on the panel screen " Option not available, Please See Owner's Manual"
Does anybody know a way to reprogram it, so it will not stop?

Today we took the SLS to the track. We did not turn off the traction control, and kept it as it is. Due to the car slightly skidding at each turn and my brother pushing the pedal a little hard after each turn, the traction kept blinking on the panel as it does in any veachile. Turns out this blinking caused the car to shut off. He then decided to try turning the traction completely off, "ESP OFF". Again, the engine shut down, and after he started it again, a check engine light popped out. At that point we decided to go back home. we read in the manual that traction causes this type of fault, which is really not cool for this type of car. My brother just started it 10 minutes bfore I am writing this message, and the check engine light dissapeard. I ask again, Is there anyway to solve this traction problem? IS there a way to tune this and allow the car like any other AMG to be drivable when traction is off?
It is really dangerous, this happened to us today on the track
SLS owners, I am sure you will experience the same problem, when you hear of something, please inform me

I wish I knew what the problem was but sounds like somethings fishy.
I would highly recommend taking the car to the dealer and have them check out.

I have driven four different SLS on a closed racing circuit and have not had this issue. I drive aggresively while on the circuit, and then at the end of the day, the AMG instructors took us out for demonstration laps, full out to the point some people are terrified at the pace the instructors move.....not once did the cars do this, I beleive the proper term of your cars behaviour is the car goes into "limp mode", there is something wrong for sure, bring it in to the dealer, the will figure it out on the MB STAR diagnostics. I hope this gets resolved for you guys.

This sounds like a problem not directly related to ESP. I've seen an SLS wear out its tyres and brakes on the track for a whole day in ESP-sport without any problem (aside from the tyres and brakes of course. Might be anything, from gearbox to abs-sensor failure. Go to the dealer and have them read the car out.

There is something wrong with the car. The dealer should be able to diagnose it after reading the stored CEL codes.

Took the vehicle to the dealer yesterday and they said it just needs software update. I will pick it up today and hope everything will be fine.
Thank you guys for your support.

I'm glad it worked out bro, but just to be safe, you should have the dealer tell you the exact codes that got stored when the check engine light came on. That way you know what way you have something to compare it to if this ever happens again
