SLS/R197/C197 AMG: SLS Intake Manifold replaced in first 30 days / 500mi?

SLS Intake Manifold replaced in first 30 days / 500mi?
Can any experts can chime in on why a brand new SLS might need its "intake manifold replaced" and valve-cover gasket changed in first 30 days of service <500 miles?
A cursory search of "manifold leaks" on MB forums shows some 6.3 engines have this; as well as the defective head bolt issue.
This would seem more than just defective gasket; the manifold assembly is like $3-5K I believe.

Selling dealer doesnt have any more info; unclear if an M-B dealer can / will disclose warranty paperwork.
There are several "reprogrammed computer" "reset reminder" in years afterwards; not sure if this is throwing codes / eating gaskets.
May pass.

I assume you mean with the car? It's for sale 3,000 miles away; so in this case would not be possible.
I was under impression dealers don't print-out service / warranty records for privacy reasons.
Might be different if the selling dealer, happens to be an M-B dealer

Not necessarily. I would call a few dealers with the VIN and ask them. Maybe start with a simple question like are the services up to date. Then maybe ask what the deal is with that replacement.
