diesel forum

Do you think you could squeeze a diesel only forum into the MBWORD line up?

no prob.. seriously though.. see if the powers that be will add it.. seems like a we could lure away some members of other diesel forums.. I know there is a big following for MB diesels, especially in the 80's and 90's model years.

I think it's a great idea. In the next three years there will be a LOT more members if the current gas saving sentiment prevails. I beleive Mercedes is going to lead the way in bringing diesel cars to the states.

not to mention the W123 W124 owners with diesels... I really think we should add it.. It's certainly going to be more busy than some of these other forums towards the bottom of the home page!

I agree with all of the above. Between the w123, w124, w210 and w211 groups, we should have quite a few contributors

Thumbs up It's not just us W211's

Between the W124's, W211s and the fact the people are building campers on the diesel Sprinters now, there seems to be ample cause for a diesel forum.

This seems like a great idea, especially in light of MBUSA's announcement about expanding CDI availability into other models in 2006.

Perhaps there is some way for a MBUSA rep to participate in this?

The first MB I ever drove, more or less my first car, was a 240D. Therefore, the MB diesel will always have a special place in my heart. You have my vote..if it counts for anything

You better start a diesel forum, Ricky. Or I'll just have to take over your mod powers. LOL

The problem is you guys would be missed here. The power plant is such a small part of the many questions & comments on thie 211 thread.

I wouldn't want a E 500 Board separate from you guys either.

don't fret... the W211 is always home for me... it's not that I want to "hang out" in here.. but rather there are many "differences" a diesel has that all diesels share.. so whether it's an SDL, CDI, or D, we can all come here and discuss Cetane numbers, Red-Line 85+ additives, and such... and not have it get lost among the 20 other non-diesel related threads that are started every day on the W211 forum that relate to the Chassis..

So it's not about abandoning the one for the other...
