Unhappy thread depth seems limited to 1....

...so it's impossible to post a follow-up to a particular post... have to get used to it...

If you "Post Reply" while in a peticular thread, it will indeed reply in the same thread. Like this...

right, but i can't reply to YOUR post...

... posts get ordered chronologically - in other words, beyond the 1st level threads are flat, instead of being tree-organized

you are correct. actually, i like it that way as it tends to keep the thread focused. if you need to, you can use the quote button to reply to a specific message.

I wouldn't do that, either. It just wouldn't be ethical.:p

ah ha! you can click on the little down arrow icon next to the thread subject and that will take you to the (oldest) newest message since you've last read... assuming you have cookies on.

hope that helps

this is the same board type as used on clubrsx.... cept this board isnt populated by insane, blind fanboys

all in all, its a great board, reliable, and easy on the eyes.

oops, forgot to mention that on the far right is a right arrow icon that will take you to the last post posted.

what if there are 100 posts in the thread and yours is, say, #60? It sure is easy to hop to the end, but I still have to scroll to get to #60 and if I reply, my message becomes #101 - so someone who's trying to follow the line, has again to scroll through the entire pool of messages trying to fish out those of interest.

yes, you are right. b/c of the single branch structure, you do have to wade thru the posts... you could setup your account to be notified when people reply, but that gets annoying. hopefully, not to many threads will get to three digits.

however, imho, vbulletin software's other advantages make it far superior to the older forum software. has anyone tried search?
