Suggestion for the OT Forum...
Lets have OT forum posts not contribute to the total post count... then no one would feel the need to make senseless posts that contained only a smilie or "lol".
I've seen this done on other forums and it cuts down on the junk posts. Just a suggestion --

Man I never saw that one coming. ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
I always thought the point of the post count was to show who had contributed alot to the forum. On the R/C airplane forum where OT posts dont count, one could get an idea of who the 'respected' and knowledgeable members were, and it gave a guideline of who to trust for advice. Here that is clearly out the window...

Why not? Isn't off topic part of mbworld? You might cut down the number of posts in Off Topic but you'll only increase the amount of frivilous posts in the other forums. I know where you're going though and sometimes I agree with you. What I really want is a slimmed down version of mbworld where you can disable all graphics and such. Later on add a point system where when you make contributable information to the forum members can select to add points to you which ranks you as MVP on the forum

lol, sorry, I had to do it. I do agree with you in
part though. The only thing is, I only hang out
in the OT of this forum, so my post count would
never go anywhere.

I am not too worried about the post count, but
when I surf the forums I weigh everyones comment
to their posts. Like if someone says something, but
only has 3 posts, as compared to someone who has
say 4500, I would discredit the 3 post guy since he is
new. the 4500 guy has been around for a while, so he
might have more insight in this case on MB's. Just my

And if you hang out in the respective model forums, you can easily find out who knows what and who to go for for true advice.
