FS: Good Condition Complete C55 Brake Setup
I've got the complete C55 brake setup off my car for sale now. Everything just came off today. The front rotors and front and rear pads were replaced with real Mercedes parts just before I bought the car and have about 9k miles on them. There is no pulsation or odd wear. I forgot to take new pictures before I boxed them back up, but I have these I took a few weeks ago so everything still looks the same.
Price is $800 FIRM + actual shipping cost to your zip. I will NOT seperate.

The 4 pistons don't look rusty they're just dirty with Jurid pad dust and water. Rears are a little rusty, but nothing a wire brush and a little silver paint can't fix. Honestly, the front 345's are what's valuable in the combo, the rears were used across many different MB's and can be found easily and cheaply.
And the pad wear was explained for the fronts and is also self explanatory in the pictures???
91RS you need to post up some pictures of your new babies

The rear calipers have some surface rust, but they have on many C-classes I've seen (including my old 06 C230). The rotors are NOT eat up with rust at all, I live in GA and we don't ruin our cars with salt. I was actually wrong about the mileage, they actually have about 6-7k miles on them. All the pads have 8+mm of pad thickness. I will take some more pictures Monday hopefully, I've got to take them out of the box and get the wear sensors to make my car happy.

I don't know for certain, but I would think they are. As I said though, no abnormal wear and absolutly zero pulsation (even at higher speeds). Never tracked or abused.

The 345's run for $91 new from parts.com and for an entire brand new front brake setup is under $800 off there as well. The rear brakes in this combo deal are very common and will more than likely be tossed since most newer Mercedes came with these and dont need a wire brush and paint. I just think that $800 is a steep price for a "combo" set when the rear calipers are a dime a dozen and will need some work to make look good. Just my 2 cents.

How is the entire setup $1500 when the rear calipers are $165 each and the rotors are $40 each. I bought my C32 front setup for $400 off here and the C55 and C32 have the same setup. I am not trying to come off as a jerk or anything I just think your price is high.

rear calipers and pads were bought from a benz forum (not mbworld.org) they were new with new pads.
Front calipers with used pads were bought from ebay.
rotors were bought new.
the total cost of what i listed is near the asking price of this set. I might have bought my set expensive too,,,but i searched a lot before buying it. And a used set is somehow rare.

^^ You bought new or near new items for around his asking price. His are used and need some TLC but you sound like you got a good deal if your parts were new or near new like you said.

Any MB that you see out there with these rear calipers will need paint if you want them to look nice because none of them are coated (I painted mine because I was tired of the ugly look).

lol you dont need to threaten people...he's just stating his opinion and it really doesn't require your input anyway...and of course they need painting. I had mine paninted gold flake all around a few months back and slapped some red brembo decals on them.

This forum has really gotten out of hand with what you can and cant say on here. Just because I was giving my 2 cents and even said I wasnt trying to be a jerk about it means I can get suspended. And trust me I know these one piston rear calipers dont come painted but his rears would need more work than some others is all I am saying. If that is considered wrong then tell me because I am pretty sure its called freedom of speech. Just saying! GLWS though.
