when searching the part number it comes up as a V1, in which case, $1000 would be an awful deal when you can get a V2 with remote for $950

you dont have a remote because there is no remote for a V1 unit. Still drastically overpriced at $800

LOL I will not considering I have seen this unit for sale from you on numerous different forums all with ridiculously low post counts. All listing this unit as the V2 plug and play which it is not. At least describe your unit correctly

First, the part number you gave is in direct correlation to the v1 unit. A simple google search will confirm this. If you google "Renntech 32-221-0099", you will find the V2 unit.

Second, search MBworld and you will find posts from September of 2011 from people trying to sell 32-221-0098 V1 unit for $500. The forum needs to know this is way overpriced and what you are actually offering. Not that I need to tell forum members this but being a part of this forum, and looking for a V2 ELM myself, I feel the need to let other members know.

Third, you are a part of probably 12 online car forums from the two pages of google searches I found with your name. Congrats you have 3k posts on 6speed. What about the 10 others with low low low post counts (benzworld you have 1 post, posting this unit). I seen others with post counts under 10 and other under 100.

You claim to have an '04 Lambo Merc, Cl55, Cadillac Escalade and a 1300hp 911 turbo. With the money you have spent on autos and modding/maintaining them, one would think you would know about the components you are trying to sell. Further, with that lineup of cars, one would think that your line of "I paid $1250 for this part when I bought it." is a load of crap. No offense, but if I had those cars, the last thing I would be worried about is getting as much money back from my initial investment on a lowering module. Even myself, with my lonely 7 year old E55 wouldn't even try that. Common sense will tell you that 1st generation mods like this wont hold value when the 3rd gen has been out for a while now. Hell, I have even seen the V3 listed here for $1k. Everyone want to get the most out of their parts, however the $1000 you are asking for is way out of line. that is fact.

I apologize if you are butthurt over this, but I have seen numerous posts on this forum of people getting screwed. This is a great forum, with a great wealth of knowledge and people who care about MB's. There are many members who are great sellers and every time someone gets screwed on parts, it tarnishes every sellers reputation by keeping potential legitimate buyers from wanting to buy from legitimate sellers.

You can say I am out of my mind, but when something seems odd, I will say something. Feel free to check out all of my 500+ posts on MBworld. This is the first time I have ever felt the need to speak up on a classified listing.

Again Buyer Beware.

I didn't want to be this guy. I got warned from MODS for speaking my mind so I stay out but I knew someone else would.

I think your price should be at $400-$500. The unit is basically from 2005 or so I think? Mods are just like cars. You can't expect to sell a $90k car after 7 years for $60k.

If the mods want to ban me or warn me, fine. Ill take the heat in order to set the record straight and save some members the trouble of buying this unit when they think they are getting something different.

I'm sorry but if you look at the unit its clear as day that this is a V2. All of the plug ends are the factory wire plugs along with the extra cable if someone wanted to have the remote installed.

Then I guess I'm wrong. Part number is wrong then on the listing. Should be 0099. My Apologies
